Oliver Travel Trailers
The Oliver manufacturing plant is in Hohenwald, Tennessee which is southwest of Nashville. The is where their manufacturing experience is put to work. It takes four fiberglass shells to build the Oliver, two inner shells and two outer shells. The lower outer shell is first bolted to the aluminum frame. Some of the electrical wiring, all the plumbing lines, and the holding tanks are placed inside and the connections are made. Next the” inner bubble” is created by the bonding of the upper and lower inside shells. Inside the “bubble” created by these two shell are molded the seats, counters, cabinets and the recess for the floor. We love the small fiberglass campers and the Oliver is certainly one we would like to own. If we had one of these to camp in, we’d share tons of info and pictures about it.
When you drive up to our plant in Red Bay, Alabama, you won’t come across a slick corporation, operated by far-flung investors. What you will find is a family business. For their family to serve your family with good service and a product you can feel proud of driving down the road. The relationships they’ve built with their owners over the years speak for themselves. They’re unique in the industry, and they consider themselves fortunate to have gotten to know so many of you. And they are every bit as proud of the dedicated crew of craftsmen who work with them. At Tiffin, the feeling of family and commitment extends all the way down the assembly line.

The Airstream philosophy has always been and will always be, “Let’s not make any changes, let’s make only improvements!” Every inch of an Airstream has a functional purpose. There is no planned obsolescence. This is as true in today’s models as it was of the first Airstream to see the light of the open road. The classic Airstream of the thirties is no museum piece. Still in use today, it is as sturdy and modern in appearance as the first day it swung into traffic. As a result, an Airstream is always “in style” conceived and constructed as a lifetime investment in happiness.
