Après avoir travaillé pour subvenir à ses besoins pendant ses études universitaires et obtenu son diplôme de l'Université d'économie du Hubei en 1989, Raymond a construit une usine et s'est spécialisé dans la fabrication de métaux. Lui et sa famille allaient régulièrement camper en plein air, mais ses enfants n’aimaient jamais dormir par terre dans une tente. « Pourquoi ne puis-je pas construire un camping-car dans mon usine ? » pensa Raymond. Ainsi, en 2008, Raymond bâtit une équipe de VR et développe avec succès son premier VR. Lorsqu’il a commencé à publier sur Internet, cela a attiré l’attention de tellement d’autres clients que Raymond a décidé que cela pourrait être « une très bonne affaire dans laquelle se lancer ». Heureusement qu'il l'a fait.
