Nadat hij had gewerkt om in zijn levensonderhoud te voorzien door middel van de universiteit en in 1989 afstudeerde aan de Hubei University of Economics, bouwde Raymond een fabriek en studeerde metaalproductie. Hij en zijn gezin gingen regelmatig buiten kamperen, maar zijn kinderen vonden het nooit leuk om in een tent op de grond te slapen. “Waarom kan ik geen camper bouwen in mijn fabriek?” dacht Raymond. Dus in 2008 bouwde Raymond een camperteam en ontwikkelde hij met succes zijn eerste camper. Toen hij op internet begon te posten, trok het de aandacht van zoveel andere klanten dat Raymond besloot dat het wel eens ‘een behoorlijk goede zaak zou kunnen zijn om in te stappen’. Goed dat hij dat deed.
